I help children manage challenging emotions, engage in positive behaviors, and bond with caregivers. By strengthening parent-child relationships, providing psychoeducation and support, and teaching new skills, I help children learn new ways of engaging in their world. At Blue Spruce Psychology, I provide a space for children to build confidence in their ability to solve problems, ask for help when they need it, and deal effectively with difficult feelings.

Adolescent years can be difficult for teenagers, caregivers and families. I help teens reflect on who they are and what values they want to live by. I focus on their strengths to help them become their best selves. As teens encounter challenges unique to their life stage, it can be helpful for them to have a safe space to reflect on these difficulties. Therapy prepares teens for important transitions like beginning college, moving away from home and beginning careers.
Adults encounter unique challenges as they move, change jobs, and experience difficulties with relationships. I help adults rediscover their passions and values to live a more meaningful life. Therapy helps adults explore relationship patterns, improve interpersonal skills and develop adaptive behaviors that increase happiness and well-being.
Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest, and leads to a variety of emotional and physical problems. Depression is experienced by people of all ages and can lead to difficulties in relationships, work or school.
Anxiety can be a normal part of life, but it can become excessive and interfere with daily living. Anxiety can also affect people of all ages and sometimes shows up as fears, worries and overthinking. It influences our ability to engage effectively in our lives and can even show up in our bodies through headaches, stomachaches, or other physical symptoms.
Relationships can be difficult. Understanding why you engage in relationships as you do, and why you choose your partners and friends, can help you engage more positively with others. Therapy can lead to healthier and more fulfilling relationships and therefore a more joyful daily experience.
When inattentive or impulsive behavior impacts a child's ability to function well in the family, accomplish daily tasks, maintain friendships or engage in school, it may be time for therapeutic support.
Life transitions can cause confusion, frustration and anger about one's life situation. Identity shifts and environmental changes are inevitable over the lifespan. Whether you have experienced a recent loss, are beginning college, transitioning jobs, or are adjusting to a new family role, therapy can smooth the way and support meaningful personal growth through change.
